Mitsuyuki Shibata discovered a passion for surfing, and has chronicled the Japanese surf scene for over thirty years.

A reverence to both sea and surf reflected in the work finds its kindred subject in the seaside community of Malibu. We are able to find common ground as disparate individuals in our shared gratitude of our surroundings.
